What it offers

The 4206T is a benchtop drill press with an 8-inch swing, 2-inch spindle travel and five speeds. It has a half-inch keyed chuck and an adjustable worktable.

The key buying check

Check workpiece clearance, spindle travel, base space and workholding. A benchtop machine still needs a stable location and room around the stock.

When to choose another option

You need a larger throat capacity or a portable drill for installed work.

Start with the work you need to do and the equipment you already own. Compare the complete setup cost, including any required accessories, consumables or power source.

Where it fits in your workshop

Plan the vise or clamps at the same time as the machine. Use the manual’s material, speed and workholding guidance; do not hold a workpiece by hand when it could catch and spin.
